Hana Hwy. is closed in both directions in the the area of Honomanu Bay due to a large landslide. MPD reports several tons of debris blocking both lanes. Large Landslide Closes Hana Hwy.

Emergency responders are heading to a landslide on Hana Hwy., Hana side of Honomanu Bay. The landslide is apparently blocking both lanes and callers are reporting that a white sedan may be stuck in/buried under the landslide. MFD activating Air-1 for this rescue. More on this story as it develops.

Fatal Zipline Accident at Pi’iholo Ranch

BREAKING: A 29 y/o female fell approximately 150 ft. feet into a gulch in a zipline accident at Pi’iholo Ranch this morning. MFD Rescue crews were dispatched to the scene along with the Air-1 helicopter. Rescue crews hiked on foot to the female where they declared her DOA.
