UPDATE: West Maui Brush Fire 100% Contained

The Maui Fire Department reports that the Kahoma fire is now 100 percent contained. 

Crews remain on scene conducting mop-up operations. 

The total area burned remains at approximately 10 acres.

The Maui Fire Department is battling a ten acre brush fire in West Maui.

Engine 3, Ladder 3, Tanker 3, Engine 11, Tanker 14, and Air 1 responded to the Kahoma area following a 10 a.m. alarm on Tuesday.

As of 1:56 p.m., the blaze was 90 percent contained.

No information on the cause of the fire is currently known.
