Police Search for Suspects in Central Maui Gold & Loan Burglary

At about 11:30 p.m. on Sunday, the manager of Central Maui Gold & Loan in Kahului reported being woken up by the alarm going off at the business.

Upon the arrival of Maui Police Department patrol units, they found an SUV was parked unattended inside the business.  Checks of the business revealed that multiple jewelry cases were smashed and various jewelry items were stolen.  

The value of items stolen is estimated at $34,000.00 in addition to $15,000.00 in property damages. 

After reviewing the video surveillance footage investigators were able to obtain images of the two offenders in this matter.  

Anyone with information on the identity of these offenders is asked to contact Detective Jonathan Acosta at 244-6441.  The investigation is ongoing.  No further information is available at this time.
