If the motivation for Saturday’s U.S. title game vs. Louisiana couldn’t be any higher for Central East Maui with a berth in the Little League World Series final on the line, look no further then Jaren Pascual. The best hitter on the team has been fantastic this Little League World Series batting .333 inspired by the loss of his father who passed away in January after a five year battle with cancer.
“His hard work really did pay off. He’s been working hard and I don’t know if it’s a little of dad rubbing off on him too. His dad was a home run hitter too back in the day. I think he has that much of dad in him. I know he knows his dad is there for him and by his side because his dad did tell him that. You know I will be with you,” Lynn Pascual said, the mother of Jaren.
Hawaii vs. Louisiana is set for Saturday morning, 9:30am on KITV4.
