High Winds and High Surf expected to continue until Wednesday

Expect northeast winds of 20 to 30 mph with localized gusts over 50 mph over the central valley of Maui, the higher terrain of Lanai, and Kahoolawe.

The National Weather Service has CONTINUED the WIND ADVISORY for the MAUI CENTRAL VALLEY, LANAI AND KAHOOLAWE in effect until 6:00 a.m. Wednesday.

Strong trades will continue to produce rough surf along east facing shores through the week. Surf heights may drop slightly Wednesday afternoon and Wednesday night but are expected to increase again on Thursday.
