DWS Works to Repair Maalaea Waterline Break

Department of Water Supply personnel are currently working to repair a waterline break in Maalaea.

The break does not appear to be related to Hurricane Lane, according to DWS officials.

Residents and businesses in the area are expected to be without water until approximately 2 p.m. on Thursday.

Once water service is restored this afternoon, customers may want to flush their waterlines to remove any sediment that may have accumulated during the repair.

No traffic is not affected by the storm.
