UPDATE: Maui Flood Advisory Cancelled

Updated at 5:25 p.m.

The National Weather Service has cancelled the Flood Advisory for the Island of Maui.

Weather radar and rain gages showed that the heavy rains have ended.

Original posted at 4:06 p.m.

At 3:43 p.m., radar indicated heavy rain near Ulupalakua.

Rain was falling at a rate of two to three inches per hour. Locations in the advisory include but are not limited to Ulupalakua, Keokea, Wailea, Makena and Kihei.

The National Weather Service has issued a flood advisory for Mau in effect through 6:45 p.m.

This advisory may need to be extended if heavy rain persists.
