Since I am more of a “do-er,” I just had to get involved somehow. Chef Jeff was kind enough to indulge my cooking fantasies and let me plate a dish. In fact, that kind of behavior is encouraged at their Chef’s Table. They want to create a fun atmosphere for both the chefs and people dining.
Here I am plating our Hamachi with thai basil and coconut crudo. By the way, hamachi is my FAVORITE sashimi- so I was more than happy to be of service. Notice how nice the coconut is laid on the fish, what can I say? I am a natural!
My favorite?? Two words. Pork belly. That was THE most delicious thing I have ever ate aside from copious amounts of bacon. Yes, wayyy better than bacon. You see that fat?? It literally melted in my mouth. If I could post a video of how it was cooked- I would. I think everyone was waiting for this plate. The minute Chef Jeff put in on the pan, everyone stood up and started taking pictures. Had to brag to everyone on social media, right??? HA!
Can’t forget the dessert. Which was exquisite. Do you know what Jaboticaba is? Well, neither did I until that night. Google has the answer.
Located in Haiku, this intimate dinner is a great place to have a date night OR a fun night out with friends. It is BYOB- so feel free to bring whatever you think will compliment your meal. Every Monday the menu of that weekend will be posted so you have more than enough time to choose what would pair well with your fare. If you don’t know, just ask them! Be prepared to go on a culinary adventure!
My husband and I went not knowing what to expect- to having one of the best meals of our lives and meeting/making new friends in the process.
