GARDENING WORKSHOP: Growing Culinary Herbs

Whether you live in a condo or in the jungle…herbs are easy to grow, healthy, and a delicious way to augment your diet. They are wonderful for the immune system, contain anti-inflammatory properties and are a great source of phytonutrients and antioxidants.
We will discuss the benefits of common culinary herbs and easy ways to support your health by growing your own. All supplies will be provided. Each participant will go home with a potted herb.

The Sacred Garden is a beautiful healing environment. The 10,000 sq. ft. greenhouse is full of orchids, tropicals, water plants, medicinal herbs, edibles and container gardens – all the ingredients for creating your own sacred garden.

Scott teaches hands-on, task-oriented activities at the Montessori School of Maui. He focuses on essential garden procedures and methodologies that connect people to their food source. Sally offers nutritional support to Maui’s cancer community. She advocates a blend of conventional medical nutrition therapy and a complementary/alternative approach to wellness.
