The County of Maui Department of Environmental Management (DEM), Solid Waste Division, would like to advise the public that several Christmas Tree “treecycling” options are available. Both drop-offs and non-profit, donation-based tree pickup services are available. Coast Guard responds to fatal accident off Maalaea

On 12/25/14 at about 12:13 p.m. Dispatch relayed that their was an unresponsive male aboard a boat headed to Maalaea Harbor. US Coast Guard and Medics were en route to their location. Unknown suspects make unsuccessful attempt at stealing ATM from Maui Mall

On December 20, 2014, at approximately 7:00 a.m., two (2) unknown suspects, drove into the Maui Mall and pulled an ATM out from the anchors in the ground. The suspects attempted to load the ATM with in their vehicle, however were unsuccessful and fled the area. As a result of this incident, damages to the ATM were estimated at $20,000.00. …
