MFD Ocean Safety Storage Room Broken Into at DT Fleming

Sometime between 3 a.m. and 3:30 am on March 6, the DT Fleming’s lifeguard storage was broken into by multiple unknown parties causing the alarm to sound.

Official tell MAUIWatch, that the thieves stole invaluable life saving tools and equipment from the MFD Ocean Safety storage room, including an all-terrain vehicle.

The thieves are allegedly suspected to be driving a white Kia SUV with rear drivers side tire a spare (different hubcap) and made off with our West Maui DT Fleming Ocean Safety Red Polaris Ranger 570 EFI cart with County insignia on hood and oxygen bag.

Officials say the all terrain vehicle stolen is used to respond to emergencies and transport JS11 which has been used in numerous rescues.

There are also reports of the same white Kia SUV being involved in theft of a Kapalua golf cart as well.
