Haleakala Visitor Center Operated at Reduced Hours During Construction

Haleakala Visitor Center, located at 9741 ft of elevation, will be open from sunrise until 8 a.m. daily while repairs and improvements are made to the building’s two entrances.

After 8am daily, the building will close for repairs until the next day’s sunrise.  

The restrooms, which are located in a separate building, will remain open.

Barring severe weather or other unforeseen work conditions, the construction work is scheduled for completion by late Friday, February 9.

The contract was awarded to Stilten Ltd., Co for $47,271 and is funded by park entrance fees.
