County Liquor Commission Provides Funds for Underage Drinking Prevention

The County of Maui Liquor Commission has provided $20,000 in funding to Maui Youth and Family Services, Inc., for their Underage Drinking Prevention program.

The fund monies is financed through the money collected from the assessment of fines against liquor licensees for violations of the State liquor laws or Rules of the Liquor Commission.

Maui Youth and Family Services, Inc. was selected based on their presentation, review of the effectiveness of their program, as well as, the recommendations received from representatives of other organizations and agencies.
