7.3-magnitude quake near Peru, no tsunami threat to Hawaii

At about 11:19 PM HST, a magnitude 7.3 quake struck near the coast of Central Peru.

According to the Pacific Tsunami Warning Center, a tsunami threat exists for parts of the Pacific located closer to the earthquake. However, based on all available data there is no tsunami threat to Hawaii.
