Molokai High School Robotics Team wins International Championship

The Molokai High School VEX Robotics Team won the 2017 Pan Pacific VEX Robotics Championship on November 5, 2017. The competition featured top teams from China, California, and Hawaii.

Team 1037B from Molokai High along with their partners “The Hawaiian Kids” from Waialua High School and “Rolling Robots” from Rolling Hills Estates, California went undefeated throughout the quarterfinals, semifinals, and finals and won the last match of the tournament 125 points to 62, making them the 2017 Pan Pacific Champions.

Team 1037A placed as 7th seed during the qualification rounds and then made it into the semifinals with their alliance partners Kaiser High School and King Kekaulike High School. They ended up winning the Teamwork Award for the second year in a row.
