Judge denies motion to dismiss Maui murder case

PC: Island News

A Maui judge denied a motion to dismiss a murder case Tuesday against a woman accused killing her twin sister by driving off a cliff.

Alexandria Duval’s lawyer argued prosecutors misled the grand jury, claiming a Maui Police officer gave inaccurate 3rd party testimony on what witnesses saw just before the crash off a steep cliff on Maui in May 2016.

Authorities say the twins were pulling each other’s hair for the steering wheel when the car plunged 200-feet, killing Anastasia Duval.
