Hawaii Food & Wine Festival ’17 Maui Guide

The annual Hawaii Food & Wine Festival is a premier event featuring food, wine and local farmers, ranchers and fishermen in the pacific. Fortunately, for Maui residents the festival kicks off on the valley isle each year, bringing some of the world’s most sought after chefs, culinarians, wine makers and spirit producers to our shores. While the Kaanapali events take place over the span of three days, it’s also exciting to see a few of Maui’s hottest chefs also featured on Oahu.

Here’s a look at the Maui events you need to know about:


October 20, 2017 – 20th Annual Roy’s Golf Classic Kāanapali Golf Course
An 18-hole benefit tournament features celebrity chefs, winemakers and golf pros at the 20th Annual Roy’s Golf Classic at Kāanapali Golf Course. Following the day on the green guests will enjoy dinner and an award ceremony at Roy’s Kaanapali.

October 21, 2017 – Global Street Food Sheraton Maui Resort & Spa
Thirteen world-class chefs will create their favorite street food-inspired dishes utilizing local seafood, meat, and produce. Fine wines, craft cocktails and an array of beers will also be available followed by fireworks at the Sheraton Maui Resort & Spa’s Anuenue Lawn.

October 22, 2017 – Hawaiian Airlines Presents Lucky 7 Hyatt Maui Resort and Spa
An elaborate seven-course dinner, emceed by yours truly, will celebrate fine culinary cuisine at the Hyatt Regency Maui Resort and Spa. Wine pairings are thoughtfully arranged by Southern Glazer’s Wine & Spirits Hawaii.

Isaac Bancaco (Andaz Maui) will be featured during the Food Fight & Bloody Mary’s brunch event on November 5 at the Outrigger Reef Waikiki Beach. Also, Bev Gannon (Hali‘imaile General Store, Makawao) will be at Taste of the Seasons at Ko Olina on November 4 at Ko Olina.

Held October 20-22 on Maui, then October 28 on Hawaii Island and November 1-5 on Oahu, the 501(c)3 non-profit aims to feature local farmers, ranchers and fishermen while also giving back to local educational, family and outreach charities in our state. For more information click: here!
