18th Annual Baby of the Year Contest Seeking Entries for 95th Maui Fair

Maui Fair, Pacific Media Group & HMSA present the 18th Baby of the Year Contest on Saturday, October 7th. Calling all of Maui’s awesome keiki to show what they’ve got and display their baby bravado for the judges.  Interested parents can learn more and register online at www.mauifair.com/attractions/baby-of-the-year/, and take their first steps toward great prizes and possibly, the Baby of the Year crown.

Contestants born on or between October 7, 2015 and October 7, 2016 will be eligible to participate; there is no admission fee.  The entry deadline is September 22, 2017, or the first 95 contestants.

“We are proud to bring the 18th Baby of the Year Contest, which showcases the many families and children of Maui,” said Sherri Grimes, Maui Fair Managing Director.

The contest itself takes place on Saturday, October 7th at its new time 3pm, on the Main Entertainment Stage. The keiki are judged on physical appearance, healthiness and personality, with each category scored on a 50-point scale. The five highest-scoring babies are each awarded prizes from the Maui Fair and its many sponsors.  All contestants will receive a goodie bag from many of our sponsors.
