Maui Electric’s Let’s Talk Energy television show will feature community partners from Maui United Way, Boys and Girls Club of Maui, and Maui Economic Development Board on its newest episode airing on Akakū channel 55 on Tuesday, July 4, from 8 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.
This episode will repeat in this Tuesday 8 p.m. times lot throughout the month.
“Whether it’s serving hot meals at our local homeless resource center or supporting keiki with hands-on experience when it comes to STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Math), our Maui Electric ‘ohana cares very much about the people who live, work and play here on these islands that we all call home,” said Kau‘i Awai-Dickson, host of the show and administration manager at Maui Electric. “That’s why in this episode, we wanted to introduce viewers to meet some of the community partners we work with who are instrumental in improving lives and enriching our communities.”
Guests on the episode will include: Kari Luna Nunokawa, Chief Professional Officer of Maui United Way; Kapono Nae‘ole, Director of the Paukukalo Club of the Boys and Girls Club of Maui; Lory Basa, Project Coordinator at Maui Economic Development Board; and Gregg Kresge, director of renewable energy at Maui Electric.
Focusing on all things energy-related in Maui County, the monthly television series covers everything from electricity basics and electrical safety to discussions on powering Maui, Moloka‘i and Lāna‘i today and into the future.
