Maui Humane Society (MHS) has a new look, in the form of a new logo and branding identity that is being unveiled today. The new logo is the result of the many changes that have occurred at the shelter in the past couple of years including a dramatically increased live release rate (percentage of animals who leave the shelter for a positive outcome through adoption, return to owner, and transfer), facility improvements including a recent expansion to the veterinary and spay/neuter clinic as well as increased programs and services offered to the community.
“We are very excited about the positive changes here at MHS and the work we’re doing to help the animals on Maui. Because of our new direction and the impact it’s making in our community, we felt that a new look for Maui Humane Society was in order” said Jerleen Bryant, CEO, Maui Humane Society.
Maui Humane Society worked with local company Sae Design to create the new logo. Sae has designed logos for other Maui businesses such as Maui Memorial Medical Center, Star Noodle, Island Grocery Depot and more.
“Maui Humane Society is a passion project. As an animal lover and puppy-parent to an adopted dog, I couldn’t be happier to work with the Maui Humane Society. Our whole office loves animals and is grateful for the work everyone does at MHS. It’s been an honor for us to rebrand and design apparel for such an amazingly caring organization” said Ashley Takitani Leahey, Marketing Innovation and Project Development Manager, Sae Design & Maui Thing.
