Hawaii Water Service Company (Hawaii Water), a subsidiary of California Water Service Group, is now accepting applications from eligible students seeking higher education for the company’s 2016 scholarship cycle. The scholarships range from $1,000 to $10,000.
Scholarship recipients will be determined by academic achievement, community service, and financial need. The scholarship program, which is funded by California Water Service Group shareholders—not ratepayers—and is administered by Scholarship Management Services, a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization.
To be eligible for a scholarship, students or their parents must live in a Hawaii Water service area; plan to enroll in full-time undergraduate study at an accredited two- or four-year college or vocational-technical school; and not already possess a degree or diploma from an accredited two- or four-year college or vocationaltechnical school.
“Our scholarship program is a manifestation of the aloha we have for our communities. The deadline to apply for this scholarship period is June 1, 2016.
